If we could summarize Noah's regenerative lamb farm in one word, it would be rejuvenation.

When his father purchased a derelict, stony-soiled farm pock-marked with saplings and the odd surprise junk pile, Noah had a vision: he’d been researching regenerative farming practices and now he had acres upon acres to put this newfound knowledge into action.

REGENERATIVE FARMING IDEAS GO FROM INFO TO ACTION

Noah’s work has been relentless. Ripping up invasive plants to create huge burn piles, then spreading the carbon-rich ashes across the stony soil and planting cover crops.

Once the legumes and grasses are established, he grazes his sheep over the new pasture to further build up the earth with their manure. Working on repeat, Noah reclaims the once-clearcut, destroyed land parcel by parcel, until it's a continuous, meandering grazing meadow surrounded by native plants and trees.

Highland cows also help with clearing. They take down low-lying branches to open up the pasture and bring much-needed sunlight onto the grazing field. Plus they scare away predators.

The farm is surrounded by forest, which is natural habitat for coyotes, cougars, and bears. The Highland cows, as well as a massive, faithful guard dog named Rosie, charge at predators and defend the sheep.

Due to an increase in demand for regeneratively farmed lamb (thank you everyone!), we’ve decided to double up on lamb farmers and stock Noah’s meat too. We’ll be working with both Noah and our current lamb farmer, Daniella from Windy Acres Family Farm to meet demand.
