Join The Regenerative Food Movement

Here’s the problem: it’s almost impossible to find regen food in the grocery store because it doesn’t work for farmers. They can’t grow perfectly homogenous produce and they don’t want to!

We’re flexible. We’re connecting people who want good food and are willing to pick it up once every week or two. That way farmers can get their food to people who appreciate it the most. Does that sound like you? Let’s connect.

Farm-Fresh Food, The Simple Way

  • Radically Traditional

Our farmers work with the cycles of nature, building up the farming ecosystem instead of stripping the land.

  • We Source It For You

We bulk buy from farmers, visit their families and land, then connect you to the most nourishing food we can find.

  • Make It Your Own

No surprises! You choose what you want from all food groups, like meat, cheese, veg, fruit, eggs, and canned goods.

Our Membership

It starts when you subscribe to a weekly or bi-weekly basket of food. From there you can add any extras you'd like.

We can't wait to meet you at our pick-up spots and hear about your passion for regenerative farms (we have that in common).

FAQs

How does the subscription work?

You sign up for a weekly or bi-weekly basket of food. That makes you a member!

You have until Monday at 11:59pm weekly/bi-weekly to add extra goods. Your basket will be added to your cart and charged to the method of payment on your account at midnight Tuesday, with pick-up on Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm.

Pick-up is at Cedarbrook Discovery Center, 45434 Willowstream Rd., Chilliwack, BC.

Do I have to subscribe or can I order whenever?

We are subscription-based so that our farmers get a predictable source of income. You can choose a weekly or bi-weekly subscription, and pause at any time, like if you're away traveling.

Can I choose or substitute the items in my subscription basket?

Every subscription begins by choosing a starter basket, and we don't make substitutions to them. We encourage you to add on items from our selection of seasonal goods - either by adding favourite items to your subscription (so you get them in every basket), or as a one-time purchase on your next order.

Can I cancel or put my subscription on hold?

Yes, you can easily hold or cancel your subscription by logging into your account and selecting the PAUSE option in your account settings. We kindly ask that you do so before Sunday at midnight, but you have until Monday at 11:59pm before your method of payment is charged.

Our subscription service is year-round, so it will continue unless paused or cancelled.

What if I want more milk, bread or eggs?

You can easily add on more products, plus an ever-increasing host of produce, dairy, and meat.

We find that 1 subscription is adequate for a household of 2-3 people. We recommend doubling up on your subscription if you have 4-6 people in your household or adding a third subscription for 6+ people.

Do you deliver?

We do not deliver. Our pickup location is in Chilliwack.

What is regenerative farming?

See our ABOUT page.

And here's the gist: regenerative agriculture is like organic farming in that it doesn't use chemicals. But it's much more. It's all about restoring farmland back to its roots as an ecosystem. We're talking about how creatures, plants, bugs, and mycelium all work together to support life and enrich the soil - not just strip out everything we can get from the land, but actually build it up as we raise food for ourselves.

How? Through natural fertilizers, crop rotation, companion cropping, plant and animal biodiversity (as opposed to mono-cropping), and encouraging microbial life.

All of this pulls carbon back into the soil and increases the soil's capacity to hold in water to avoid erosion.

What's in it for you? Nutrient-dense food. Fruit and veggies that are grown in biodynamic soil suck up way more vitamins and minerals because they are there for the taking. Milk and cheese from grass-fed cows contain proteins and vitamins from the herd's healthy environment. You are part of this life cycle too, benefiting from regenerative farming practices.

Is the packaging reusable?

Yes! Please return these items on Thursday when you pick up your fresh order.

Egg cartons: keep cracked eggshells out of the cardboard cartons so we can bring them back to the farm and use them again.

Milk bottles: rinse out with soapy water so it's easier for us to sanitize (and less stinky for our workers)

Baskets and thermos bags: shake out any crumbs and return. We know those thermos bags are a great size for lunches, but we need them back to keep your orders cool.

Thank you for helping us meet our commitments for sustainable packaging!

  • "I’ve been on the bi-weekly Honest Farmer basket for a while now and I look forward to every delivery. I get a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, and a jar of milk, and sometimes extras like cheeses, greens, strawberries etc. I love knowing it all comes from local regenerative farms. Everything is fresh, healthy, and packed with care.

Thank you for supporting local producers and making it easy for us to do the same!"

  • "The Honest Farmer subscription achieves two things for me: the ability to obtain products that are of a very high quality (I’m a bit of a health nut, and regen/totally clean products are hard to come by), and the ability to connect in a more direct way with my food sources."
