Klippers Lean on Multi-Generational Knowledge
The Klippenstein couple learned how to farm from day one, before they even met each other. Annemarie was raised on a trailblazing biodiverse and regenerative farm in Chilliwack, while Kevin's farming ancestry goes back generations. There are some skills that go so deep that they're almost like an intuition - what that plant needs, what the land is telling you.
Because of these generations of knowledge, the fruit and veg from Klippers Organics have a weight to them that feels right: full of nutrients, deep in colour, robust in texture. These folks know what they're doing.
They're rebuilding the natural, seasonal cycle of farming within their ecosystem, while also nurturing a wider cycle of human, land, and food health. Their organic and regenerative farming practices create a holistic sense of Mother Nature and human nature working as one:
-Hard-working farmers give the soil what it needs to nurture a thriving microbiome; dirt that's teaming with life.
-The soil can provide plants with a vast array of minerals and micro-nutrients that are so much more diverse than your basic phosphorus, potassium, and nitrogen from chemical fertilizers.
-Those nutrients are imbibed into your own body with every bite, giving you nutrients you need for your own gut health and physical wellbeing. And gut health translates so strongly with mental health too.
Regenerative farming has so much more to do with life cycles than your industrialized, segmented farming. It's finding the interconnected web of life that allows agriculture, nature, and human nature to all thrive for generations.Â
